The Top 10 Best Experiences We Had in 2024

2024 was packed with unforgettable moments — from Michelin-starred meals to epic concerts and indulgent spa days. This year, we were fortunate enough to experience luxury, adventure, and relaxation across some of the best cities in the world. While not everything could make the list, these are the experiences that stood out the most. If you’re looking for inspiration for your next trip (or splurge), here’s our top 10 list of the best experiences of 2024 that we think were worth the investment.

1. VIP tickets to see Usher in concert (Miami)

Seeing Usher live is already a vibe, but doing it VIP in Miami? Next level. From priority entry to front-row views, the energy was electric, and Usher’s performance was iconic. It felt more like a party than a concert, and if you ever get the chance to see him live, VIP is the way to go.

Here are the highlights of what we got with our VIP tickets:

  • Most importantly - a premium seat location with an unbeatable view

  • 3 hours of a VIP lounge before the show with 4 photo stations, snacks, desserts, and a full service bar

  • 2 free drinks

  • Exclusive access to the merch tables before they open up to the rest of the attendees (meaning 0 lines)

  • Free gift bag (ours had items like a tour poster and bluetooth speakers)

  • Designated server to order and receive food and drinks at our seat before and during the performance (we ordered truffle fries and wagyu hot dogs)

We also went to the last show of the U.S. leg of the tour. If VIP isn’t for you, definitely consider going to the first or last show if you’re able. There were tons of surprises and special guests that made the night extra special. If you’re a big fan of an artist, we think going all out in the experience may be worth the splurge.

It doesn’t get any closer than this - we definitely got caught up in the experience!

2. Dinner at Per Se (New York)

Dining at Per Se was not just a meal—it was an experience. As one of NYC’s crown jewels with three Michelin stars, Per Se delivered with exquisite taste, unmatched creativity, and flawless service. Each course was beautifully plated, and the flavors were as refined as you’d expect. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

You know that we’re all about intentional luxury, so we did this one for a special occasion and we highly recommend doing the same. They were able to customize our meal to bring the experience to a whole new level. By the time we went to Per Se, we had already eaten at every three Michelin star restaurant in New York City, and we were still blown away.

No filter, no editing - the food just looks this good.

3. St. Regis Four Elements Massage (Miami)

The Four Elements Couples Journey at the St. Regis Miami Spa is pure indulgence. In addition to the most dreamy massage you’ll ever get, the experience involves a sound bath with guided breathing (air), soothing hot stones (fire), a full body exfoliating scrub (earth), and a harmonic bath soak (water). And because it’s a couples experience, you have private use of the exclusive double suite.

Or, if you don’t want to do a full couples massage experience or you’re looking to go solo, consider a lighter treatment that still grants you access to the facilities. The Bal Harbour location of the St. Regis is absolutely lovely. If you’re in Miami and need a spa day that feels like pure luxury, this is it.

4. Dinner at Ikoyi (London)

Ikoyi’s two Michelin stars are well deserved. The West African-inspired flavors were bold, unique, and unlike anything else we’ve had. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted and packed with complex flavors that were both comforting and exciting. We like the more common cuisines that Michelin seems to prefer, but we love a wide range of flavors - it’s one of the reasons we’re such fans of our base cities of Miami, New York and London! If you find yourself in London, Ikoyi needs to be on your list.

5. Aire Ancient Baths & Massages (New York)

Tucked away in Tribeca, Aire Baths offers a sanctuary from the noise of the city. From soaking in thermal baths to a deep-tissue massage in candlelit silence, the experience is luxurious and deeply relaxing. It feels like stepping back in time, and it’s worth every second. There are few places in the city that really make you feel like you’re in another world, and this is one of them.

Similar to our St. Regis experience, we tried a couples massage here and it was absolutely delightful. But even without that extra adventure, the baths are extremely relaxing and luxurious.

6. Scuba Diving (Miami)

Scuba diving in Miami is often overlooked, but it has a great mix of unbeatable convenience and cool sights. There are very few cities that support diving, let alone major cities like Miami. There is a ton to experience in the area from shipwreck dives just off the coast, to exploring the vibrant marine life nearby at sites like the Blue Heron Bridge (a 2 hour drive from Miami Beach).

We even went past the basic Open Water certification for Scuba to learn how to dive with Nitrox air tanks, which has benefits like allowing you stay underwater for longer. This is important if you need to go to deeper depths, but Miami’s diving is so easy that this ended up not being necessary at all.

No need to hop on a plane to the Caribbean—Miami holds its own.

7. Dinner at Nōksu (New York)

Nōksu brings intimate, high-end dining to NYC’s underground dining scene—literally. We went earlier this year and had rave reviews. Clearly we weren’t the only ones who enjoyed it because soon after, it was awarded its first Michelin star.

What makes Nōksu such a great experience? Right off the bat you can tell you’re in for something different when you walk down the stairs into the NYC subway station and entering a secret code on the door that brings you to a beautiful upscale dining counter. But not only did they nail the vibe, the food delivers as well. The standout dish is their squab. If you’re not familiar with squab, it is literally pigeon. We ate Michelin-starred pigeon in the NYC subway and we loved it. All in all, Nōksu is one of the most unique and immersive dining experiences we had all year.

8. Soho House Events (Miami, New York, London)

With such an expensive membership fee, you better believe that we are going to take full advantage of all that Soho House has to offer. We always utilize the different locations across our three cities and we also make sure to take advantage of their events. This year, we attended everything from comedy shows, to brand collaborations, to musical performances. We even went to a Halloween blowout that was a blast. We will say that no single event tops this list, but the variety and frequency of these brings Soho House into our top 10.

9. Dinner at Nossa Omakase (Miami)

Miami’s omakase scene is strong, but Nossa Omakase is the stand out for us. The experience blends high-energy dining with incredible sushi and omakase plates. The atmosphere feels almost like an art gallery opening as each seat features a literal spotlight that illuminates each beautifully crafted dish. We loved the entire experience from start to finish and, we have to admit, we’ve done dinner here more than once.

We shared our full thoughts on Nossa Omakase in this review.

10. Business Class Flights & Lounges (Miami, New York, London)

Flying business class—especially when you can access the lounges—makes long-haul travel feel like a treat rather than a chore. Between lie-flat seats, priority boarding, and impeccable service, we particularly love both American Airlines and British Airways for an elevated flying experience. It’s the ultimate way to kick off (or wrap up) a trip.

And our #1 lounge of all time is the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in the Miami International Airport. If you have the opportunity to check it out, we definitely recommend it. It features high quality food and drinks including a made-to-order station that rotates offerings, as well as an endless supply of champagne.

If you zoomed into this lobster, you’d never guess it was on a plane!

Near Misses: 6 experiences that didn’t make the cut

These experiences were fun, but they didn’t make the final cut for one reason or another. Again, you know we’re all about intentional luxury and we want to help you decide what’s worth the splurge and what you can maybe skip.

  • Dinner at Giselle (Miami) – A popular restaurant on the rooftop of E11even (one of the biggest clubs in Miami) we didn’t think Giselle would hold on its own.

  • Personal Training at Equinox E (London) – We enjoyed the personal training, but the facilities didn’t justify the cost. You can read our full review here.

  • Dinner at Mr. Omakase (Miami) – This was tasty omakase, but considering the fierce competition in Miami, we wouldn’t go out of our way for this one.

  • Dinner at Casa Neos (Miami) – This restaurant is a great time and we definitely recommend it for a special occasion! They go all out, especially in presentation. This one was close to making the top 10!

  • Drinks at Miami Sound Bar (Miami) – Great concept, but the execution didn’t feel as premium as advertised.

  • Dinner at Red Paper Clip (New York) – This was a solid meal, but it didn’t stand out compared to other restaurants on this list.

  • Outlet Shopping (Miami) – A fun outing, but underwhelming savings. The most popular items are often still full price with the discounts on items that are lower quality or harder to sell for some reason, such as unpopular colors.

Final Thoughts

There were a ton of experiences we loved but couldn’t fit into this list—some of our favorites happened before 2024 and others are just waiting for their moment. We’re already gearing up for 2025 with plans such as skiing (and maybe more importantly, après-skiing) in Aspen. Want to stay in the loop?
