Miami Pool House Review: How good is the newest spot from Soho House?

Miami’s social scene just got a long-awaited addition: Miami Pool House, the latest members club from Soho House. The concept promises a relaxed yet elevated vibe in the city’s tropical setting. With a strong focus on outdoor lounging, poolside ambiance, and stylish design, Miami Pool House promises to bring the Soho House magic to the border of Wynwood and Edgewater. Here’s a look at what it has to offer and whether it stacks up against the iconic Soho Beach House.

The Vibe

Miami Pool House definitely delivers on the art of laid-back luxury, offering members a stylish escape that feels both exclusive and refreshingly casual. The vibe is intimate yet social, with various types of seating surrounding the main pool, tropical greenery adding a lush atmosphere, and loungers perfect for unwinding or gathering with friends. It’s noticeably more relaxed than the bustling Beach House, focusing more on open-air lounging and poolside relaxation.

The interior and exterior design leans into natural materials, pastel tones, and that iconic Soho House style that makes the space feel effortlessly chic. Whether you’re there for a quick dip, a sunbathing session, or a leisurely afternoon cocktail, Miami Pool House has an ambiance that feels quintessentially Miami, with a Soho House edge.

Amenities

Miami Pool House keeps the amenities simple but purposeful, focusing on a premium poolside experience. Here’s what members can enjoy:

  • Central Pool and Lounge Area: The main pool is the heart of the club, surrounded by loungers and cabana-style day beds where members can relax and socialize.

  • Indoor & Outdoor Dining: The dining area offers a menu featuring a mix of fresh, light bites and satisfying comfort food, designed to complement a day of lounging by the pool. It features all of your House favorites plus a few local additions. There’s also the Cottage, which features a health and tonic bar focused on nutrient-rich food and drinks.

  • Bar Service: Craft cocktails are available both poolside and at the bar, with a menu of refreshing drinks perfect for hot days.

  • Changing Rooms and Showers: Thoughtfully designed changing rooms and showers make it easy for members to freshen up after a swim or before heading out.

  • Workspaces: There are also a number of indoor and outdoor tables well-suited for working, whether you need some focus time on your laptop or an in-person meeting.

Pricing

Miami Pool House has a similar membership model to other Soho House locations. If you don’t want to go for Global Access, which gives you membership to all Houses, you can get a Miami Pool House-only membership starting from $656.25 quarterly (or $331.25 for under-27 members), which comes out to $2,625 per year (or $1,325 for under-27 members).

The pricing aligns with Soho House’s other offerings but could feel steep if you’re only using the space for the pool and light dining. It’s definitely worth considering how much you’ll actually use the pool before committing.

Social Scene

Perhaps because it just opened, but Miami Pool House is definitely quieter than Soho Beach House, despite being only a 20 minute drive away (when there’s no traffic). On the one hand, it gives it a more intimate and private feeling, which can certainly be nice. On the other hand, it doesn’t quite have the social scene and people watching that we love in other Houses.

That being said, one of the highlights of Miami Pool House so far has been the events. One of the earliest events was a Halloween party, and Miami Pool House absolutely delivered. They were able to completely transform the space, turning the pool into a DJ-led dance floor, co-working spaces into séance tables, and calm Palm Beach vibes into a spectacle in the absolute best way. We don’t love that you have to pay for events like these on top of the membership, but this party was well worth it.

Capturing the vibe before the party started - you’d never know this is usually a pool!

Comparison to Soho Beach House

While Miami Pool House brings something new to the Miami social scene, it’s hard to beat the amenities and vibe of Soho Beach House. The Beach House offers direct beach access, more extensive dining options, a spa, a gym, a hotel, TWO pools, and a more luxurious setting overall. The energy is higher, and the club feels like a destination within a destination, with layers to the experience that Miami Pool House just doesn’t match.

To be fair, Soho Beach House has become our all-time favorite House, so it may not be a fair comparison. But given that they are in the same city, the comparison is inevitable nonetheless.

So, is Miami Pool House worth it?

Miami Pool House is a lovely addition to the Soho House family, offering a laid-back, pool-centric space with a great vibe and solid events. For those who value a casual, tropical retreat in the city and prioritize poolside relaxation, it’s a fun, refreshing spot to unwind. However, if you’re already a member of Soho Beach House or are seeking a more comprehensive club experience, you might find that the Beach House offers a lot more bang for your buck.

Miami Pool House is a charming spot for those who appreciate a more relaxed setting and a poolside-focused vibe. But if you’re after the full Soho House experience, Soho Beach House still reigns supreme in Miami.
