Is Soho House is worth it? If you’re in one of these three groups, yes
For those unfamiliar, Soho House is not just a members' club—it's a global phenomenon, a haven for creatives, and a hub for luxury. It is incredibly exclusive, incredibly popular, and incredibly expensive. Depending on your location and membership tier, annual fees can range from substantial to eye-watering.
Is the experience worth the thousands of dollars in membership fees? For most, the answer is likely no. But if you’re in one of these three categories, Soho House may be worth it for you.
1. Multi-city dwellers: Featuring stylishly designed spaces and a plethora of amenities including spas, gyms, and rooftop pools, every aspect of the Soho House experience is curated. And one of the best parts is its global footprint. If you live across cities or are a frequent traveler, Soho House is a guaranteed way to have a home-away-from-home. Our favorite locations are Soho Beach House in Miami, DUMBO House in New York, and White City House in London.
2. Parents of young children looking to network: Most people don’t know that Soho House is extremely family friendly. You can get your children their own memberships and the prices are very reasonable up until 5 years of age. Many Soho House locations even have a Teeny House, a designated play space with free adult supervision.
3. Prestige players: Being a Soho House member is an instant status symbol. If being on the scene matters to you, Soho House may be a good fit. From networking events to exclusive screenings and workshops, the opportunities for meaningful connections are endless. Plus, it’s a great place to host work meetings and client dinners.
If you’re considering applying and don’t have a friend who is a member, we recommend booking a room at the hotel or reserving a table at one of the restaurants to get a glimpse. Photography is not allowed in Soho House, so beware of what you see online.
So, is Soho House worth it? It is for us, but ultimately that's for you to decide.
